Air Liquide Singapore participated in its first virtual ChemEx!

Annually, Air Liquide Singapore (ALSg) participates in the Chemical Industry Experience (ChemEx)* held in Jurong Island, which is organized by the Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC) and Chemical Industry Manpower Advisory Committee (CHIMAC). This year was no exception as well. However, due to COVID-19, this year’s edition was broadcasted virtually via SCIC ChemEx 2020 facebook page instead. 

Jointly organized by the Human Resources, Communications and Large Industries-Operations teams, ALSg participated in the virtual SCIC ChemEx 2020 via Facebook Live on 23rd October. Through a video presentation, the audience went on tours to our Air Separation and Hydrogen Plants guided by two of our Operations Engineers working there. The audience also had a first-hand experience of what it was like to work in Air Liquide through the testimonials from our fellow colleagues as well as hearing from our Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for Electronics for SEA Cluster, Dr Chow Kok Sum and General Manager for Human Resources, Ms Zann Teh. 

The session was well-received, with many comments received from the audience and SCIC who hosted the event on their facebook page.

*ChemEx is an annual event held in Jurong Island for tertiary students from various Institutes of Higher Learning, to allow them to have a better understanding of the career opportunities in the chemical industry.
