"I began my career in Air Liquide as a Chemist in 2008 and today, I am a Manager for our Electronics Quality Department. I enjoy working here because I am able to work with a diverse group of people as well as being involved in different projects. I am glad to have supportive bosses who believe in my potential and care about my development in the company.
I am also recognized as an International Technical Expert by the Group, which is a huge honour and milestone for me. I look forward to many more rewarding experiences and sharing them with my colleagues in the future."
Jason Thong, Operations Manager, Industrial Merchant
"Having been with Air Liquide for more than fifteen years, I am privileged to see the organisation underwent various transformations and it brings me immense satisfaction to have contributed to the Group’s achievements.
Air Liquide presents plenty of opportunities for job rotation across a myriad of departments and countries. My experiences included stints in Total Gas Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management System etc. I appreciate that the organization is supportive of staff development as I was sent on a multitude of training courses and given many opportunities to try something different."
Sufancia Kheng, Digital Transformation and Customer Experience Engineer, Industrial Merchant
“In 2015, I did my internship with the Electronics division and was honoured to be selected for the Air Liquide Summer School. Upon graduation, I came onboard as a Management Associate. In Air Liquide, women are given an equal platform to showcase our talent and to contribute to the Group’s success. The flexible work culture also gave me the freedom on time management towards meeting my deliverables.
I hope to inspire and motivate the next generation of female engineers to step forward and not detract from your passion because of gender stereotypes."
Chin Jian Hau, Operations Manager, Electronics
"I joined Air Liquide after graduation and became a Process Engineer in 2008. Over the years, I was given opportunities to grow professionally and had taken on various roles such as Assistant Manager for Gas Centre and Training Manager.
Currently I lead a team of engineers and oversee plant operations for one of our Electronics customers. Everyday is a challenge for me and I take pride knowing that my contributions and expertise assist our customers in their business needs."
Rafiqah Binte Abdul Hamid, Engineer, Industrial Management, Large Industries
"The belief that women are less adept at engineering is unfounded. In Air Liquide, female and male engineers are given an equal platform to showcase our talents. I started my career in Air Liquide as an intern back in 2011 and was selected for the International Internship Program (IIP), where I was privileged to work in Paris within the Healthcare division.
After graduation, I joined as an Operations Engineer to manage one of our Air Separation plants. Even though it is a male-dominated industry, I work alongside passionate colleagues who are willing to share their knowledge. Despite a tough environment, it brings me immense satisfaction to have contributed to the Group’s achievements. Air Liquide’s usage of digital tools has also enabled me to work from home, which allows me to balance work with family."
