"My internship with Air Liquide, IPAG Hub was a fruitful and enjoyable experience. I liked that my Air Liquide colleagues were quick to welcome me as part of the team and they took good care of me as well. The projects assigned to me were challenging but at the same time, rewarding and offered much insights into the daily operations of IPAG Hub. The Continuous Improvement Project for IPAG Hub’s Test Centre allowed me to hone my problem-solving, analytical and communication skills. Being involved in the PAG Digitisation Project, I had to liaise and coordinate with various vendors, thus enhancing my interpersonal skills. To sum it up, there was a steep learning curve as a new intern, but the things that I have learnt along the way and the guidance I received from my supervisor, made my journey with Air Liquide worthwhile."

"My internship in Air Liquide as an Assistant Engineer within the Electronics division at Micron Operations was eye-opening and rewarding. It was a joy to work with a close-knit team, where everyone was approachable and friendly, making it a conducive environment for my learning. The nature of operations brought different challenges every day, exposing me to the multitude of tasks under its scope, ranging from technical issues, practical considerations as well as more interpersonal aspects of communicating across different stakeholders. I am especially thankful to my supervisor, who was supportive and generous enough to facilitate a short stint at the Performance Analytics Centre so that I could also get a glimpse of the exciting digitization initiatives that will go towards elevating operational excellence. “My internship in Air Liquide as an Operations Engineer was highly rewarding. Although I was an intern at the plant for six months, I was treated as a regular employee with great responsibilities and projects assigned to me. While it was challenging and intimidating, this exposure allowed me to learn aplenty - greater than what I had expected to takeaway from this experience. Overall, despite having a steep learning curve as a new member, I am thankful for this internship opportunity at Air Liquide as well as for my supervisor and colleagues at Large Industries (LI) that were fun, patient and nurturing.”

“My internship as an Operations Engineer with the GlobalFoundries Tank Farm team was both enriching and exciting! Under the supervision of my team lead, I was able to spearhead process improvement projects and partake in the daily operational works at the plant. Furthermore, everyday brought along different challenges and opportunities for honing my technical, problem-solving and communication skills. All in all, I am blessed to have this internship experience with Air Liquide as well as my supportive supervisors, namely Chin Jian Hau and Rakesh Raveendran who have guided me throughout this attachment. "I interned at Air Liquide Singapore as an Assistant Engineer, working at one of the Electronics Department. I was given an opportunity to learn different things – from statistical process control to UAT testing for a Smart Innovative Operations (SIO) project. I was also glad to have applied for the Air Liquide Summer School program, in which we had a presentation and a panel interview. The application experience itself was interesting, but I was even more excited when I was told that I was selected as one of the interns to be representing Air Liquide Singapore! Although the event had to be held virtually online, I can definitely say that I learned a lot about the Air Liquide Group, with more focus on the Group’s mission to achieve sustainability in the long run. There were also numerous speakers of whom had different backgrounds, and it was truly invaluable when they shared their tips on developing their career at Air Liquide. We were also given a business case in a group of 5 to solve by the end of the summer school, and I had a pleasure working with my team, consisting of different nationalities – and with that, different time zones! We also sought advice from our group facilitator who has been very helpful to point out any points of improvement we could make to our solution. All in all, despite not being able to physically go to the headquarters, I truly enjoyed all the presentations and activities given by the speakers and facilitators. There were a lot of topics covered – from sustainability to HR strategies – that gave me valuable insights about the Air Liquide Group as a whole. Last but not least, I am also grateful for the people that I get to meet virtually! I feel blessed to be given the opportunity to make friends and grow my network from different parts of the world thanks to Air Liquide!"

"Working with the many constraints of dealing with our current global pandemic, Air Liquide still managed to host over 30 international interns for their annual Summer School Program online. Though it will not be the same as flying over to the head office, it was still a wonderful experience. During this program, I had the privilege of attending multiple seminars on a plethora of topics: sustainability, HR strategy, business activities, technology. Many esteemed guests were invited to share with us their wealth of knowledge, with their hospitality and genuineness felt thousands of miles away. Furthermore, we also had the opportunity to work on a business case given to us by the senior management – this year we were tasked to come up with ideas on how to leverage sustainability to attract generation Z talents. It is not often that you get to work with such a diverse and international group of people, and I am thankful for the experiences gained working with my group! One word that could describe my internship experience in Air Liquide would be “autonomy”. Even Though I was designated as an operations engineering intern for a short period of 6 months, I was given the opportunity to tackle projects, contribute to discussions, and troubleshoot problems. All this would not have been possible without a great and welcoming team, who were more than willing to share, guide, and show patience during my time there. On a whole, I am grateful for this eye-opening learning journey. Thank you to everyone at Air Liquide!"
