Our Women in the Technical Field

Our Women in the Technical Field are breaking stereotypes and showing others that women can also succeed professionally in the technical field.

Women are changing the world

“Air Liquide provides an engaging environment where women can develop in technical and management roles while contributing to our ambitious sustainability objectives.”

Fabienne Lecorvaisier, Executive Vice President (July 2017 - March 2023)

"Women's access to professions in industry and science, which are still predominantly male, is a key issue. Air Liquide believes in improving their access and devotes resources to it, which benefits everyone. We strongly encourage women to build their careers at Air Liquide."

Edith Lemieux, Director of the Air Liquide University & HR Transformation Projects

Just as the United Nations has made gender equality one of its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we have also made it one of the pillars of our growth strategy.

"Equal opportunities for women and men isn't something you can order; it's mainly about changing behaviors. Air Liquide is working on biases and prejudices to remove barriers and promote a culture of inclusion," says Dana Allen, Leadership and Diversity Program Director. "By leveraging our differences, we can create more sustainable and innovative solutions to the major challenges facing society."

In Air Liquide Singapore, we have a diverse workforce, including women in the technical field. They are in the field managing the daily operations of our plants and ensuring that we deliver the most reliable products and services to meet the unique needs of our customers.

Our Women in the Technical Field

Our Women in the Technical Field are motivated by their passion and interest in the technical field to pursue a career professionally. They are breaking stereotypes and showing others that women can also succeed professionally in the technical field.

Let’s take a closer look at their journeys.

Tan Lee Keng, Customer Installation Maintenance Lead Engineer

Lee Keng was also an intern in Air Liquide Singapore before she returned as a full-time employee after graduation. With an interest in the technical field, she began her journey and had not looked back ever since. She believes that both males and females can succeed professionally in the technical field.

Rafiqah Hamid, Senior Process Safety Engineer

Rafiqah was an intern with the Commercial team in Air Liquide Singapore before she returned as a full-time employee after graduation. While interning, she believed that with a technical background, she would be able to “sell” better. This began her career in the technical field. Even though she is not onsite everyday, she is still supporting the team technically with her experience and expertise.

Angeline Ang, Quality Manager (Electronics Division)

Angeline embarked on her technical journey fifteen years ago as a Chemist in Air Liquide Singapore. Ever since then, she has been building her technical knowledge and expertise and today she is able to leverage this knowledge and expertise to develop win-win solutions for the company and customers. She is also recognized for her technical expertise as an International Technical Community Leader in the Air Liquide Group.
